Publisher: Addeo is published by Addeo Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17551523, whose registered office is at Office 22034, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA ("we", "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Addeo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application. If you downloaded Addeo from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

2. Not Financial Advice

Addeo is not a financial adviser, investment adviser, tax adviser, accountant, lawyer or broker, and nothing in the app or on this website is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any investment or to take any financial, tax or legal action. We are not licensed or regulated to give such advice, and using Addeo does not create an advisory, fiduciary or professional relationship between you and us.

Addeo is a personal record-keeping and calculation tool. All calculations, including net worth, projections, FIRE targets, Monte Carlo simulations, withdrawal strategies and tax estimates, are for general information and educational purposes only. They are based on the data you enter and on simplified, general assumptions, and they do not take your full personal circumstances into account.

• Projections and simulations are hypothetical. They are not predictions or guarantees of future results, and past market performance does not guarantee future returns.
• US tools (such as Roth Conversion, Tax Buckets, ACA Subsidy, Inherited IRA and Real Estate Equity) use US federal rules and dated tax tables. They do not include state tax unless stated.
• EU tools use national presets for Cyprus, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Ireland and Spain, or rates you enter. They simplify each country's rules and may not reflect your personal situation.
• Tax rules change, and the app's tables may be out of date or incomplete.

You alone are responsible for your financial, investment and tax decisions. Before acting on anything you see in Addeo, check it with a qualified, licensed professional who knows your situation.

3. Your Data and Responsibility (The "No Recovery" Clause)

Addeo stores your data only on your device, encrypted with a key that never leaves it. We have no copy of your data and no access to your keys. You are solely responsible for:

• Remembering your app PIN and your backup passwords, if you set them.
• Securing your physical device.
• Keeping your own backups. Use the encrypted .addeo backup to move to a new device; device backups (iCloud, computer or Google backups) do not carry your Addeo data.

If you forget your PIN, the only option is to reset the app, which erases all data on the device. After 10 wrong PIN attempts, all app data on the device is erased automatically. If you lose your device or forget the password for a backup, we cannot recover your data.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Addeo is free to use. Addeo Pro is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Where a free trial is offered, it is managed by the store and converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
• Billing, cancellations, and refunds are subject to the terms of the respective app store.
• Promo codes are single-use, have no cash value, and may expire.

5. Third-Party Data and Availability

Live prices and exchange rates come from third-party providers (Finnhub, CoinGecko and ExchangeRate-API). They may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable, and price refreshes are limited per day. The rest of the app works offline. We are not liable for service interruptions or inaccurate data caused by third-party providers or internet connectivity issues.

6. Provided "As Is"

To the extent permitted by law, Addeo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app, its calculations, prices, exchange rates or tax tables are accurate, complete, current or error-free, that the app will be uninterrupted, or that your data will never be lost.

7. Limitation of Liability

You use Addeo and rely on its results at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We are not liable for any investment, trading or financial losses, tax liabilities, penalties or interest, lost profits or savings, or decisions you make based on the app.
• We are not liable for the loss of data stored on your device, including data erased by a reset or by the automatic wipe after too many wrong PIN attempts, or data you did not back up.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.
• Our total liability for all claims relating to Addeo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Addeo in the 12 months before the claim arose, or £50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when the app changes. We will show the new effective date above, and significant changes will be highlighted in the app or on the store listing.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
